I figured it was just a matter of time before Longmont City Councilmember Sean McCoy couldn't hold it in any longer. The hate? No, he regularly displays that towards a wide swath of Longmont. Now he's showing his more "racial" side, and is tweeting about his intolerance.
Want to take a guess how many "Rodriguez's" there are in Longmont? More than there are McCoy's, and probably for longer as well. There are businesses with that name, there is at least one street with that name, and there are, by a quick count in the phone book, at least 92 people in the city with that last name.
He often talks about the "old guard", yet then reminds how long he's been involved in Longmont and then how even longer (22+ years) his dad has been involved in Longmont politics. They are the old guard. He's right, we do need to do away with the politics of old - which by definition would include him. Didn't Longmont have some racial problems back around the late 70's? Yep, it did, but I'm sure it's a total coincidence.
So remember Longmont Hispanics/Latino's, liberal/progressive politicians like Sean McCoy are only interested in you as long as you represent a vote for them. Other than that, their old tired stereotypical attitude for you comes out sooner or later.
And since Hispanic/Latino inclusiveness on city boards was brought up in the recent candidate forum, Sean McCoy (along with Brian Hansen and Sarah Levison) voted against a fairly experienced one recently. Just wasn't the right kind of Hispanic/Latino, right?

If I had kids in school, and they had McCoy for a teacher, I'd pull them out of public school! Can you imagine the indoctrination this idiot must spiel in the classroom?
